Tecnologie Elettriche e Radar per SAPR Autonomi (TERSA)
Prog. n. F/130088/04/X38 – C.U.P. B52C21000880005
The TERSA project has the object of developing and integrating two radars and technologies for electric propulsion on RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) with a maximum take-off weight between 35 kg and 50 kg. The expected result of the project significantly increases the dual operational capabilities (civil and military) of surveillance, control and data collection both on land and on the sea, as well as integration into civil air traffic ensuring low environmental impact. In particular, two configurations will be studied, one with a conventional fixed-wing and one with a fixed-wing VTOL, both of which can be equipped with an electric propulsion system and a Sense and Avoid (S&A) system, suitable for inserting the aircraft into air traffic.
The TERSA Project is developed through various phases that include the definition of user requirements and use scenarios, the definition of the architecture of the SAPR platform and the modules that compose it, the development and validation of the latter, and finally the tests of the system in relevant use scenarios.
The activities of ECHOES will focus on the design and development of:
